What if you have run out of a product will you be restocking it?
Our products are made in small batches to ensure quality and freshness so if we have run out of a product and its a core line it will be restocked, please feel free to sign up to our email list for notifications about restocks, product launches, and other exciting announcements or follow us on Instagram @inner.states for drop announcements and other information.
What is the shelf life of your products?
Essential oil diffuser blends and mists
As all products are natural and without preservatives, our essential oils and mists are best stored in a cool dark place and used within the same season that they have been opened. The shelf life unopened is 24 months. We package our aromatherapy products in dark amber bottles to help preserve the blend and keep it fresher for longer, and most products will stay good for at least 12months after opening.

Our Tea’s will come with a best before date on your packaging.
Why is there alcohol in your Space mists?
We use alcohol in our aromatherapy mists as a natural preservative. Alcohol has been used in perfumes for centuries as a preservative and it mixes well with Aromatherapy oils to preserve and even enhance their scent and overall quality of the product. We use high-grade plant-based alcohol which isn’t derived from petroleum or denatured; it has a minimal scent and increases the shelf life of your product.
Are your products vegan friendly?
Of course, we love animals! Our products have been tested on humans - ourselves and friends and family and are free from any animal products.
Why Aromatherapy?
Our products have been developed with 100% natural essential oils, we have used and sourced high-grade plant-based oils that are both native to Australia and from far away lands.
Aromatherapy has been used for thousands of years, Aromatherapy is derived from two words: Aroma – meaning fragrance or smell, and Therapy – meaning treatment.
When we were researching scents and ingredients for Inner States we were very keen to only use products we would use in our own home, many products on the market are produced with synthetic essential oils which may be harmful for your health, we wanted to be 100% transparent and stick to natural plant-based essential oils.
Essential oils are volatile extracts from plants including bark, flowers, leaves, roots, stems, gum, resin and various other plant parts. We have picked aromatherapy oils based on the scent and the feeling or state a scent may evoke.
Scent is an amazing sense, it can awaken a long forgotten memory, remind us of friends, family and treasured travel destinations, it can help drop us into a certain state when used in repetition, It’s the perfect tool to use in daily ritual which is why we love it so much.
Aromatherapy is a tool that we use for mind body connection and to support our physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
Why is my space mist cloudy?
We use alcohol to help the oil mix with the water. We looked at creating a recipe with a solubilizer but couldn't find a natural one we were happy with and didnt want to use another ingredient to clarify the solution so it goes cloudy when you shake the bottle to mix the oils and the rest of the spray. This makes for a product as natural as possible.
Why Have a received bubble wrap in my shipping?
Our shipping satchels are recycled and re-usable, we use recycled boxes hexcel honeycomb paper wrap however your postage may come with some re-used bits and pieces we have received including plastic and bubble wrap which we try and repurpose to keep out of the bin!
